Informed fitness professionals know that you should not place strength on top of dysfunction. When you go to a big box gym or engage the typical “boot camp” trainer, you will either be ignored or the trainer will attempt to bury you with their workout.
Anybody can make anyone sweat. People want to look better but it is also our responsibility to help them move better. Providing an active warmup is part of this. The kind of warmup you see in the video not only warms up the body but it also provides dynamic flexibility, and gets your body ready to move powerfully.
It can be done in under ten minutes. Another great thing is that if
you increase the reps and add maybe one or two exercises, it can provide a full workout for people who are not in good shape.
You’ll be working mobility in your ankles, hips, thighs, and shoulders (I neglected to put in the “inch worm” and band dislocates, so I’ll show those in the next video).
Let me know if this was helpful. If there’s enough interest, I’ll narrate exercise descriptions in the next one.
